Hey, I'm Norm and this is My Bad Take Space.

While my Bad Takes could be about anything, I'm mostly confining myself to things I am actually reasonably informed on: tech, the web, and its impact on society. Though I may branch out from time to time.

I also write about video game stuff sometimes, but I've sequestered that over on my other blog to (1) let me give ghost some money and (2) keep that content from dominating here.

Who am I?

I'm a software engineer by trade and a life-long observer of the tech industry's influence on society, since the turn of the century (insofar as a teenager can have such observations).

Forged in the fires of early-2000s tech forums, indoctrinated with right-libertarianism on Slashdot, and have spent the past 20 years deprogramming myself of it.
